Title: Gaolie War Rule About Possession
Post by: worookie on November 27, 2008, 07:48:22 PM
In a goalie war:
After the offender shoots the ball, the ball touches defender's man and bounces back to the middle area.
Who owns the possession of the ball now? offender or defender?
Thanks.

Assuming the ball has stopped in the middle or neutral area, the ball should go back to the shooter who originally shot, and who successfully entered the opponent's area and touched a defending figure and left that opponent's area.

1. Player w/possession successfully cleared & entered opponent's area.  Goalkeeper successful.
2. Defending player failed to control the ball after it entered defended area.  Goalkeeper failure.

Deadball in neutral area goes to the player who performed under the basic tenet of Goalie War: goalkeeping - clear own area and shoot to score on opposing goal, block all shots on own defended goal, and trap and control any incoming ball.
