hey guys new to the forum and fairly new to foosball. used to play a lot as a kid but ended up getting drunk and buying a used table last week. compared to the fancy expensive tournament style ones that ive seen, this one is very entry-level.
all i know about it is that its a harvard and made of wood and i got it for $50. i was wondering if it is possible to convert over the rods/bearings/men to like one of those tornado style tables. this one has a bit of play in the bearings, rods are not totally straight, and the players look very cheap. it makes precise ball handling difficult (or its just me ::)

For upgrading "old generic tables"... sportcraft, harvard, etc.... quite a few folks have gotten some good results from using the old TS/TournamentSoccer parts... http://foosdirect-store.stores.yahoo.net/ts-parts.html
Precise handling of the foosball is not surprising... changing balls (trying a few different ones perhaps) is the easiest way to get "some ball control" out of the typical low end table with "slick white plastic balls"... http://foosdirect-store.stores.yahoo.net/soccerfoosball.html
