FYI
The DYP will be run the way it is run on Thursday nights at BWB. It is an A/B draw. Players who are ranked semipro or better must give one point unless the combined rank points of the opposing team is more. We use VA player points or assign points to new players. We find it keeps games competitive for all levels of players.

Brotha- not sure what you mean by requirements. All levels and ages are welcome OPEN and A/B DYP are great for anyone. The ROOKIE/AM event cuts out anyone ranked higher that amateur on Mary's or national ranking system. See flyer on BWB Loehmann's for events and registration fees. Good people-good foos-good times! NEW event to BWB's July 28th Tournament-Beginner Draw Your Partner.
A great opportunity for first time tournament players, B players, and players who are new to the tornado table.
For players with no higher than 900 VA points /no higher than an IFP beginner rating.
Beginner DYP, July 28th 5pm
Registration 4:30pm
Entry Fee: $5 per player
1st place $40 plus $40 gift certificate
2nd place $30
3rd place $20
4th place $10

I know I'm ranked 1400(Semi-Pro) LOL in the books. I was back in Dallas a few weeks ago, and played in my first tourney in well over 3 years. I semi retired 10 years ago. Needless to say, I have the foosbug again. Saturday I hit a few balls around at BWB. Now I want to play. SO, I'm looking for an Open Doubles and Mixed Partner.

I talked with Kitty and she said you may be interested in playing rookie/am also. I am looking for a forward for rookie/am. I just started playning a couple of months back after a 30 year break;=>I used to be a good goalie in the old days on TS and can hold my own in the back now (that is what I think anyway.) You can check me out and we can chat tonight at BWB if you come.

To tired to post a lengthy message now...Thanks to Chun & Pat for their hard work running the tournament. What amazing matches! The finals of OPEN Doubles was a fantastic! I'll let someone else post the play by play......but the suspense and play was as good as it gets anywhere in the country!
Thanks also to everyone who came out! Our goal was to offer challenging foos for the various player levels in the area PLUS introduce Rockville and Mont. Co. to competitive foos. You guys were the key in making that happen. Now it's time for a bit of Advil and somemore ZZZZZZs. Hope you enjoyed!
