Title: Foosball Tables
Post by: confux1ous on September 25, 2007, 05:51:39 PM
where can I find foosball tables that are the size of pool tables?  Do they still manufacture them or not?
When I was young I use to play on one and it was the best.  I recently did a search for foosball tables and only found tournament type which are too small for my taste.  I would appreciate the input.

Thanks.

I seem to recall folks talking about the Greek tables being HUGE.  With foosballs the size of a billiard ball.    I've not ever seen a photo of such a table, much less heard of one here in the US.    Where did you play on them?  What country?  When did you last see one/play on one?   Jim

I learned and played on the Greek tables in the early 70s, in Greece of course. But the balls were no were near the size of billiard balls, maybe a bit larger than todays but still smaller than a golf ball but they were hard as heck and slick. All wood construction, to include the players, other than the rods/springs of course. Oh how I wish I could find such an old table here in the states!!

Any leads will be greatly appreciated.
