Title: where did the cool names go

Like cold steel & Blue flam or the Hammer or park your Harley and the wiz R.I.P. Now we have Joe and Bill that will scare ya or yang su or Mell stankowski . Where are they cant the computers handle them.

They tried to bring back nicknames a couple years back but it didn't catch on.  It is hard to hear your name called in these ballrooms.  I guess none wanted to take a chance of missing a match because the nicknames blend into the background clutter.

I used "ShowTime".  There was another team that used it but retired, so I kinda stole it.  8)

my singles name was Aragorn son of Arathorn but in the 70's, very few people knew what that meant so I thought I was sooo cool - I was just the same as a Trekie - I have all the LOTR Tolkien calendars since 1973 or 1974 when the first one was published... I have all the years since except 1 when they didn't make them...so at least 33 calendars...now, who is the nerd - how about this from all from memory

I think that the team names were great for atracting sponsors.  Pepsi team #1 table 2...
The name I have used are The Dentist - just here to do some drilling, Dynamic Duo - for me and my partner and of couse my current "The Pinalyzer"  - Using the back pin to penalize you.

that would mean you never lose......hmmmmmm....The master in all the classic karate movies was in another world..unbeatable..Id say u can be the apprentice of the master of champions....lol...btw howd u do last friday at the bring wish i coulda made it...ill be there this friday
