Title: Dynamo striker coin-op, good table?
Post by: Old Meister on March 11, 2008, 07:40:56 PM
I have a chance at a hardly used Dynamo striker coin-op for $200. Is this table something I should be jumping on as right now I have a whirlwind II? Does it play like the Tornado coin-ops or is this a totally different animal? Ed I could use some input,,,

Sorry man, I know nothing about them.  I don't even know who to ask,  I think it was a last ditch effort of Dynamo before they bought Tornado.  I beleave you can shoot some banks.   Here is a like of Furry playing on Striker  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ4VLoviFO8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ4VLoviFO8)

Okay, watched Furry on the Striker and was not impressed.  It looked weak, and reminded me of playing on the Legend at the AMOA Show.  The balls look way to lite.  It seriously bored me to death. I wonder if you used Tornado balls it would inject some life into the table?

Thanks for the reply Ed, I think I'll pass on the table. I didn't know if it was real close to Tornado or not as I missed all the history of Dynamo and Tornado. I was hoping that it was a close cousin or something that could be switched over easily to play like Tornado coin-ops. Oh well, I'll keep looking for the right deal on a coin-op and keep playing on the Whirlwind in the meantime, it isn't that hard to switch to playing on a coin-op.
