My dumbass friend greased my foosball rods with a vegetable or canola based cooking spray! It was fast for a bit but now some of the rods easily rotate out of place (guys at 45 to 90 degrees drop straight down if the table gets bumped) and some of the rods now squeak when they move back and forth.
If it matters, I have a Premier Soccer - Table of Champions. Manufactured for Imperial. Probably made around 1999-2003 but I could be wrong... I have a serial number.
How can I restore the rods back to like new condition?
THANKS!

i would start with some "simple green" and follow with some rubbing alcohol.
other things NOT to use as lube would be penetrating lubricants like WD-40, or liquid wrench and furniture Polish like pledge.
Beer also doesn't make for a good lube although i've seen more than a few people try.
:)
i would buy some silicone (liquid not spray) and tell your friend to leave the cooking spray for cooking.

So I bought some silicone off the site and now my rods are way too slick!!! My 5 bar won't even stay angled anymore!! I only used 1 or 2 drops of the stuff too! Now I need to gunk my rods with something so they aren't so slick! Help!!
