I played with a couple of guys the other day that had blistering shots from the goalie three-rod. They would do a little push or a little pull by my three-rod man and hit the shot. Later, I was fooling with that shot and I can't get it nearly that fast. Does anyone have pointers on the mechanics of shooting from the goalie three-rod? I seem to have a hard time shooting a fast shot with my left hand.

Meh. Goalie rod shots work once or twice as a gotcha but are not really worth using very often. A decent 2 rod will be much more useful than any goalie rod ever will be.
