Title: A couple of questions...
Post by: dlemons4 on May 30, 2008, 03:17:40 PM
1. Whats the best way to get the surface area spotless clean?  I got it pretty clean with some windex and some elbow grease but I want this puppy to shine.

2. What do you use to glue down the white edge strips?

3. How do you remove the bearings? Do I need a specialty tool?

Thanks in advance, Dale

Windex works fine. I wouldn't do anything else to the surface if it's clean. You could end up changing the playing characteristics of it which could ruine it.

Contact cement works the best for glueing the strips back down. Be sure to thouroghly clean both contact surfaces.

A bearing wrench would be recomended to remove them, however if you don't have one, you can use a rag and pair of channel locks. Take the rag and use it to cover the bearing nut, then grip the nut with the channel locks to tighten or loosen it. BE CAREFULL!!! if you use channel locks. You can easily scratch the table or break the bearing.

if you have a base model tornado, a bearing wrench wont work...
