Pro am is a doubles event where every team must have at least one amateur; normally it is won by a team with one pro (or pro-master) and one amateur, but in theory you can play it as a team with 2 amateurs or a semipro and an amateur.

It replaced the similar 3500 limited event.  In that event, your team's total ranking points had to be 3500 or less (e.g. a 2000 point pro could play with anyone who was a 1500 point semipro or lower; a 3600 point pro-master was ineligible to play).
