Toronto,
The table you are looking at falls into the 'Tournament Soccer clone' category, meaning it uses the same rods and players that the old TS tables had. Those rods have always been notorious for not being drilled true and if you look at the blue 5 rod it looks like the men are doing a miniature 'wave', a couple of the men being further back from a straight line. It is not a table serious tournaments are played on and you would be wise to wait for something else to come along.

looks very similar to a garlando, which is a popular european table. dont know about the manufacturer (FAS(?)) though. im sure someone on here knows.

FAS are almost the same as fabi. one difference is that fabi handles taper and fas. both are italian tables but are not nearly as good as the new garlando, although are very similar to the block foot garlandos. The table would be fine if you ordered a bunch of garlando balls.
Toronto... I'm from edmonton and i'm a member of TSAC(table soccer association of canada) and I follow canadian foos quite a bit. In toronto there are a few differnet places to play foosball. The biggest scene there is a bunch of fastball players, the large italian population supports that scene and i'm sure there are a ton. Somehow there isn't a tornado scene in toronto except for the players at there houses. you can contact the tornado players through the TSAC site, www.tablesoccerca.ning.com. Tornado is the most commonly played table in north america. If you plan on traveling to play foos you should get a tornado, you can find used coin-ops for sale around the GTA. Also there is a bonzini group in toronto, and that is the french table, commonly used in quebec and france. You can see each style of table on the ITSF site, www.table-soccer.org .
My advice would be to buy a tornado coin op used, but other choices exist so hopefully i have helped. i hope you get a table soon.

That FAS is made in Italy, but it was being widely sold by Costco (of all places). The FAS's I've seen aren't that colour, though. It was red, green and white on the side, but otherwise I'd say it is the same. I've seen used prices in the $200-250 range. The $500 asking price is probably the original Costco price, if not less. There's nothing wrong with the table and it plays like the some of the low/mid-range RobertoSport tables. Don't pay more than $250 if you can. Ask the seller where it was originally purchased. As Will17 mentioned, it doesn't play anything like the Tornados. Pinning on this table is difficult.
P.S. That's a glass field.
