Title: simple question

Got my grandchildren a foosball table for Christmas.  As I stand and grip the handles, do I try to hit my ball into the hole to my left or to my right?

Congratulations!  You'll have a blast.

You will be hitting the ball to the right goal. 

Do the men have faces?  If so, the men on each of the four bars should all be facing to the right on whatever side you are standing on.
