Title: Still looking in Colorado
Post by: tsand on January 08, 2010, 10:30:51 PM
Unfortunately the Foosball market in the Denver/Colorado springs area is a sellers market.

In my area Craigslist doesn't have much in the way of coin operated machines and when they do, they are always around $1000 or more

Example:
Tornado T3000 Foosball Table - $900 (Wash Park) http://denver.craigslist.org/tag/1516466573.html (http://denver.craigslist.org/tag/1516466573.html)

Even the Storms have high asking prices "Nice Tornado Foosball Table. Storm II model. Great shape. Paid over $1300 for it originally. I'll take $750. Now I'll take $600" http://denver.craigslist.org/tag/1517691124.html (http://denver.craigslist.org/tag/1517691124.html)

I have been looking for over a year, quite frustrating.

I guess i will keep looking, but I want to play!

That T3000 is not a T3000. It is a Cyclone 1. Not coin operated, no newer bearings, men, side strips, balls, etc... just an FYI. I emailed him and let him know and he apologized and didn't mean to misrepresent but never fixed his ad.

I saw a coin operated Brown marble in good shape go for $300 a few months ago.(In Denver) I tried to get it but someone beat me to it.

Don't look for anything below a Cyclone II. The tables don't feel nearly as good below that.

If I was you I'd just keep checking daily and you need to be the first on a good deal as others are also looking.

Also check Pueblo as me and a friend bought two Grey marbles from down there for a good deal.

Thanks so much.

Yes, I check Craigslist Denver/Colorado Springs several times a week.  Thanks for mentioning Pueblo, because I have not been checking there.

Here is a Cyclone II for $550, but has stock pictures so it is hard to tell.  What should I offer?

Nothing in pueblo or colorado springs.  As you say, the search continues...

That table could be nice and he might take around $400-450 but I'd ask for detailed pictures first since you likely wouldn't be driving to Denver just to see it.

I would email this guy who is listing this table:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180453890070&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI

The table "looks" awesome and he has great feedback.  He has had it listed for a few weeks with no bites at $499, and he lists that if you wanted it shipped to contact him.

"We are offering this table for local pick-up only, however we will consider shipping it. Please send us your zip code for a shipping cost if interested."

I don't think it would be more than $175-$225 to have it shipped to your door, which is a whole lot better than driving >100 miles round trip and loading it up and spending the gas.

I would even wonder if the guy would take $450 for the table since he has listed it for so long with no bites...plus if he dealt with you outside of eBay he wouldn't have to pay the eBay fees.  Then just tack on the freight charges...just make sure he packages the table real good.  It would be easy to damage the table, unless they had the original packaging materials (which no one keeps except me).
