Title: Made for T.V. Warrior Hawain Open 1st Draft
Post by: sirflair on January 21, 2010, 08:24:19 PM
just recieved the original draft of this 30 minute made for T.V. show. There will be some minor changes made. It's purpose is to promote foosball, sell tables and attract sponsors. It will be made available to a multitude of cable channels for them to air. The terms are completely negotible and I have no idea of what they will be so please don't ask.

I would appreciate any constructive feedback but unfortunatly only minor changes can be made.

We intentionaly left room and the ability to change certain things in the show should we find a major sponsor for the show. If you have any leads please forward them to me.

I think it is pretty decent and pretty interesting for the completly casual fooser and general public. ( That's the target market) If you plan on critiqueing this according to what technical stuff should be on here for the hardcore fooser to watch.... Please save your breath.

In a perfect world I could find the sponsorship money and there would be enough viewer interest to make a show for every big tourny continueing to imporove the show.

LOL after the end of the open doubles final Tony was called Tom. I enjoyed it though.

Great! :D I hope it is well received and why not. People watch bowling, pool, golf, poker,, and none of them have the pace of foosball. The description of the skills and accomplishments of the players helps to draw in the non-educated and makes it fun to watch. I think you did a good job on this one Sirflair! Kudos!

Very nicely done.  I only saw a couple of things you might be able to address:

Every time Mary Moore is on camera and speaking, the graphic says she is from Lexignton, Virginia.  (Isn't she from Lexington Kentucky?)

The other one was the graphic when Cissi Whipple is speaking, in the graphic, here name is misspelled, it reads "Sissi" instead of "Cissi"

Minor stuff, just thought I would mention it!

Again, great job!

No Lott.* That's at least one positive.

*...as far as I could tell. I wasn't able to make it all the way to the end.

Brenndon and Mary
I know the time, money and passion that it takes to do what yall are doing for foosball. This video is something we dreamed of 30 years ago, but didnt get done. I sure hope everyone appreciates your dedication to the game we love. I still believe.

Brendan, I've often thought that televised foosball could work if done right. If the finals matches were played in a pit with a full production set along with close-ups, slow motion replays, players faces and quality editing, I think even the non-players would be interested. I've also thought that it could be done like other match sports such as boxing where there could be a "fight night" match card with a main event preceded by other matches. Dream match-ups arranged as well as up-and-comers trying to work into the lime light. In my area there is a channel I get on my antenna that shows many less popular sports, even ping pong. If it also played foosball matches I would be in heaven. As I've said before, I like the direction you have taken and look forward to seeing where you bring this sport.
