Ok I know that I am not the only one having trouble with this. When I first played on Warrior from Tornado I picked up the differences pretty well, But the next DYP on Tornado I had literally no control over my toss speed on my pull shot. My tucks and deabars ended up banging off the posts. I am having a very hard time getting behind the ball square. My far wall and lane stick passes are getting away from me after I have already got them stopped on my 3. My passion is Tornado and to be honest the Warrior has hurt my game tremendously in competition play. I went in half on a warrior table with a friend of mine and he constantly wants to play on it. Anybody else experiencing this same problem? It really seems like the damage has been done trying to adapt from one style to another, I would prefer to have my Tornado game back.

much easier, as you are showing, to go from Tornado to Warrior than the other way...this is why the Euro players on tables like Bonzini and Garlando aren't fans of Tornado...it was like this in the TS days...if you could play TS, it was easy to adjust to Dynamo or Tornado but the D and T players had a very hard time on TS
you haven't lost your Tornado game, its still there, your mind and body are just a little confused...you can sort it out but you need to spend more time on Tornado than Warrior until your body learns to adjust from one to the other...if you have both tables at the same place, play 3-4 scores on T and then play 1 on War, then 3 on T and 1 on War and so forth...your mind unconsious self has all the memory for your muscles but not for transitioning back and forth
if its one or the other, then of course go Tornado...use the pink ball, its the same idea, much easier to go from pink to red than the other way and unless all your local venues are 100% cut over to the dark red, its better practice...plus, i am not certain but I think it is a better practice tool either way
i don't know the long term impact of this but it is theory i'm formulating which i believe will hold up over time

Good advice Charles, I am used to catching and pinning everything with alot of confidence on the warrior because of the grip of the ball. I play it hard slamming the toe down on balls coming my way and rarely lose it. The toss speed is there and retrieving stray balls on the table is a breeze, but as soon as I go to play Tornado it's like playing with a marble on an ice rink. I NEVER had that problem before playing on the warrior table it always felt comforatable on the Tornado.

Kent I try to practice on my blond with multiple types of balls since I don't have a warrior to practice on. I have my original balls that came with the blond (very hard and slick), the pink and fuzzies from about 2-3 years ago, the yellow warrior balls, and the 5 hour tumbled balls. I alternate them and try to practice with all of them at each session. Hopefully I will be able to transition a good game to the warrior tables when they next have a tourney here.
