Title: Can you change the rods

Like in other sports there are different defensive strategies and formations.  Like in soccer 4-2-4 (4 forwards 2 Mids 4 Defenseman) or 3-4-3 (3 Forwards 4 Mids 3 Defenseman) and so on.....

so heres the question

Am I allowed to change the position of the rods?  So instead of the classic 1-2-5-3 (1 goalie 2 defensemen 5 mids 3 Forwards) can I rearrange the rods so that it is 1-3-5-2 (1 goalie 3 defensemen 5 mids 2 Forwards)
