Title: Suggestions for relaxing...
Post by: undtiny on February 19, 2012, 11:28:18 PM
I get too tense when I play and need to learn to relax and play.  Any suggestions.

P.S. I am hard as hell on myself when I miss a shot (or *** up the technique to complete a shot) or don't complete a pass I think I should. Any suggestions on how to not kill yourself mentally during tournament.  Thanks!

Why try to be someone you aren't? If you are an intense player then USE IT! I tried doing what you are talking about and all it is is a fight with yourself. Go with who you are and put your opponents back on their heals. So do you shoot a roller? Go to an aggressive "crouching tiger" stance and pound that thing! Do you shoot a pull, your aggressive nature will come through and the straight and  middle will be open more because of it. All I'm saying is, aggressive is not a bad thing as long as you know how to use it, make'em flinch,,,
