Title: singles- un attended rod is hit by ball and spins over 360......
Post by: bolt115 on June 25, 2012, 08:18:00 PM
If a rod that is not being held in a singles match spins from the force of the ball hitting it(over 360 degrees)  would that be considered an illegal spin?  for example your 5 bar was left down and you shoot from goalie area.. ball hits your 5 bar causing it to spin.

That's legal.

As Jargiar said it´s legal.

See rule 15.3 from the ITSF Rule Book:

Quote
15.3 If an ungrasped rod is spun by the force of a ball hitting a player figure on the rod, the spin
will be considered legal (example: a two-man shot in singles hitting the three-man).
