Title: Bob Hayes Tornado table with glass playing field
Post by: robertjkaiser on July 02, 2012, 07:38:33 PM
I have a coin-op Tornado table from the 70's and would like to know if it is at all special, and how much is might be worth. The coin-op mechanism takes one quarter. The table has a glass playing field. The red manufacturer's plaque mounted to the table says "Tornado Incorporated"  "Bob Hayes Sports-Systems, Inc., Dallas, Texas", and there is a serial number of "79 1111" stamped into the plaque. The table is in good shape and plays very fast.  My guess is that this is a table from 1979.  I know that Bob Hayes was a Dallas Texas tavern owner who is credited with creating Texas Style table soccer.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Bob Hayes fancied himself a lady's man.  Therefore the smile on the face of the Tornado table figurines. Just an aside.
