I am an old RP player that had a table for 20+ years that got away from me but have acquired an older table that needs some love...The rods need attention but I can have them professionally straightened and I need 4 handles. I would like new rods and handles but am a pretty savvy guy with an excellent shop so modifications are also an option.
1. My rods are 9/16 or 14 mm...Are the .120" rods the same diameter or close enough to work?
2. I can modify the bushings to accept the 5/8" rods but do not see any 5/8 rods with a compatible telescoping inner rod. Is there any such animal?
3. Do the Bonzini handles thread in the opposite direction from the Rene Pierre? I was told they intentionally reversed the threads so they would not be interchangeable.
Thanks in advance for any information and I am glad to be back in the game...I used to be pretty good...)

I don't think it was intentional because Bonzini was the first to make this style of table. The only thing possible to do it to get a Bonzini rod and handle in combo. I'll be at the VA State this weekend in Harrisonburg, VA and back in the office on Monday. Give me a call and we can talk about options.
BTW, where are you located?
We have a pretty good tournament schedule for 2013.

You can buy 14MM handles with Left Handed Threading from RENE PIERRE FRANCE.
