I have a tornado table that I am trying to figure out how to modify for electronic scoring. It's obviously outside of the traditional tourney style scoring. My table growing up had electronic scoring and for the nostalgia alone I want to see if it's possible. The Tornado's goal catch is so wide that I don't think using the scoring system off of a consumer table will work. I am thinking that maybe an air hockey scoring system may work as it's sensor is wider.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Which model of tornado table do you own? Putting a sensor somewhere along the ball-return path might work.

Kevin- Sorry for the late response. The Holidays have kept me busy. I have a Tornado F-5.

Are you looking for an off-the-shelf system that can be adapted? Or are you considering building your own? In either case, you might have better luck on one of the electronics message boards, such as All About Circuits.
