Title: 1st Tournament
Post by: Wells5252 on May 12, 2006, 04:46:24 PM
I am putting on my first foos tournament in a couple of weeks. There is not a lot of interest around but I feel I can get 20 or more players. Singles and doubles with cash and prizes. I work at an events center so I am getting Budweiser to sponsor it. Just having it at a local bar. Does anyone have any advice for putting on a small tournament like this. What works good, entry fees, rules, etc. Definately not pro players but they have some skill. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wells

I suggest that you try and break up the prizes, so even the less good players win something...
For example  First out gets a bottle of beer...

Stick to a 5 dollar per event
Have a DYP
goalie wars
forward shoot out
2 ball rollerball

Try different fun stuff

Good luck

Wells,
How did your tournament go in GF? Are you doing any more? I'm in Minot and i would have come if I had known about it. I am planning to do a DYP the second Friday in March...let me know if interested!
