Hi guys,
Judging by the other topics in the forum I should start by 'hi all, I am newb and need avise from the old dogs here' :)
My girlfriend bought me a foosball table for my birthday and for the last 3 months we have been enjoying great moments.
Since the last tournament I organized (purely amateur with friends) I have two bend rods (little, not much).
Now here is my question - the rods are 14 mm in diameter and I am checking out new ones which are 16mm in diameter and would like also to change the bearings for smoother movements of the rods. Has anybody done such thing?
Here is a photo of my table:

Thank you in advance for the help on the topic.
Best regards,
Marin

With a table like that, selling it and buying a more heavy duty table is the only answer. You are likely not going to be able to find replacement parts and even if you do, they will cost more that the table is worth.

I have already found replacement parts and they are not so expensive:
rod 16mm with one player - 18 EUR
rod 16mm with two players - 20 EUR
rod 16 mm with three players - 21 EUR
rod 16mm with five players - 23 EUR
In addition the handles are 2 EUR per piece.
Here are sample photos:

In addition the bearings are 2.5 EUR per piece:

The total enhancement cost would be:
2x82EUR (rods) + 8x2EUR (handles) + 16x2.5EUR (bearings)
or
220 EUR
The question is about the game play - for sure with the new bearings the movement of the rods would be better, but how about rods with bigger diameter?
Best regards,
Marin
