Hello All. I am new to the forum. I am looking to purchase a foosball table and came across 2 in my area on Craigslist. One is a T2000 (coin op) and the other is a Storm II. The sellers are asking $600 for the T2000 and $500 for the Storm II.
The Storm II has had limited use and is 6 years old. The T2000 is about 10 years old and has had a lot of use but is still in good shape.
Based on the limited information provided are these prices reasonable? Are the tables significantly different?

A T2000 is an older "arcade quality" table with split cabinet design that would be found in bars. The Storm II is a home model that is lighter and has lower quality components. In your scenario the T2000 is the much better option. If you can post pictures or link to pictures many on the forum would offer there educated opinion on condition and value. I will add that sellers do not always understand what model they have so best to look at table to confirm model for yourself.

Coin op all the way but don't pay $600

Thanks for the input.
Can anyone tell me if the table at the link below is a T2000? If so what approx year?

Yes, that is an overpriced t2000 brown marble coin-op. Probably early-to-mid 1990s.

What is a reasonable price for a T2000 such as the one above?

$400 is the most I would pay. I bought one earlier this year for $150.

Hard to tell for sure, but that one seems to be in good condition. If so, $400 would be a good price. Given the current asking price, I doubt the seller would go for it, but be patient. Good ones, reasonably priced, always show up eventually.

It is. Those style tables (brown marble coin op with plastic feet) were made from 1988-1997. The table in question lists numbers for patents that weren't filed until 1991. One was published in 93. So kgstewar mid-90's estimate is a good one.
The age is an asset here. What your looking at is considered one of the best tables ever built. The asking price of $900 is still exorbitant for it. $400-500 is the max I'd pay for that, and it would have to be with almost new rods, bearings, and men. Otherwise you're going to spend another $40+ per replacing each bent rod.
If you're just looking for a style of table to compare it to then, yes, that's the one you want.
