Hello Guys
I have a chance to get a Carron Signature or Tornado Strom II. Both are going for $300 and they are in good conditions (almost new)
Do you know which is better? This will be my first foosball table. I believe the Tornado Storm II is the version that wont allow you to adjust the feet height like in this post http://foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=5310.0
Thanks,
Bruno

Storm II all the way, the carrot is junk.

Snake eyes
...You misspelled Carrom. But at least you didn't misspell junk. ;)

Damn spell check good catch papa, ya carrom is definitely firewood material. Snake

Thank you guys for the replay
Unfortunately the Storm II is gone and based on the feedback I should stay away from the Carrom.
Please do you know of a list of good used older tables that I should be looking for?
I will rather wait a little and get the right table than just get one of the tables currently available in craigslist.
My budget is of no more than $400 and it would have to be local (so probably ebay is out unless I get very lucky with the sellers location)
I live in Raleigh, NC
Thanks again,
Bruno

I'm also in Raleigh and it's worth it to be patient. I picked up a used Tornado coin-op and a Bonzini, both off Craigslist, for good prices. Took awhile but I got good deals (although the Bonzini required extensive restoration). Get one of those Craigslist apps that alerts you when new listings appear. Eventually you'll find a good table for a good price

Thanks for the info Kgstewar.
I will keep looking. I just want to make sure a get a good table that is going to last me a while.
About the Tornado Coin-op, do you think this is a good deal? I don't know how much it will take to repair the table.

The table looks pretty good. I'd be interested in "the dent in the playfield that doesn't affect play" Try to check it out in person if that's feasable.
There is also this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/dynamo-foosball-table/252331613410?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D777000%26algo%3DABA.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131227121020%26meid%3D842966ba2d6f48548a48683ac115753a%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D262354888261
It says it's a Dynamo but looks like a brown marble Tornado. That would make it a much older table. The leg levelers are off which is no problem if they're not stripped. If it doesn't sell you might get it a little cheaper. $500 is near the top of the brown marble threshold but not unreasonable. You should look at it in person also. You don't want to buy something unseen and get a surprise.

Thanks for the info
Yes the ding on the top of the playing field is a big red flag since I would not be able to see it in person.
The other one is also in Florida so it is out of the question.
Do you see anything in this link that will be worth looking at?

Nope, typical low-end assortment of tables. (The Mirco table is nice but parts are very hard to find. I wouldn't get it).

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes that is what I thought about the quality of the tables.
I guess I will just wait for more offers

Don't know if you are still looking but this showed up on the Raleigh Craigslist. Looks like a Cyclone 2, which is a good table, and the price is right if the described condition is correct.
