Title: Tabletop foosball - 6 rods or 4 rods?
Post by: Clubcitizen on July 21, 2020, 03:09:25 PM
Hi, im a newbie here. For the standard Tabletop Foosball, I would like to know which is better.. the ones with 4 rods or 6 rods? I know the main foosball tables have 8 rods in total, but im just referring to the mini tabletop ones.

Your advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

I think that would be more a personal preference.

I see. But is 4 rods more for beginners and 6 rods more for advanced play?

A table top game is not useful in learning more advanced play.  You can have fun playing one just will not lead to better play on "coin op" table.

Yeah definitely I understand that. But for Tabletop ones, is there much a difference between the 4 rods and 6 rods?

Im not very familiar with the table top versions but I think the Roberto Sport Roby has an interesting set up. It's four rods -  a single goalie and a 2 bar for each side. Essentially a small scale goalie wars without the 5 and 3 rods. Telescopic rods too because it is designed for children.
