Title: Play on bearings
Post by: john124 on April 25, 2014, 02:23:27 PM
Hello ,

i have bought a used tornado T3000.   but the rods wiggle around in the bearings when trying to shoot the euro pinshot  or tapping the ball around...

already replaced the used with new bearings and its still the same.

i was wondering how to get this removed without tightening the bearings too much and causing them to actually grab the rods.

also noticed the split cabinets are not perfectly leveled with eachother on one side.   is this a problem?

My understanding is that the Euro pin is unpopular on Tornado's for this exact reason. It's not your table, it's Tornado.

make sure the bearings are tight on both sides

That gap doesn't look indicative of the usually tight tolerances tornado tables are built to. That may have something to to do with the issue. What I usually do is tighten the bearings using a bearing wrench until they "grab" the rods and then back off a quarter turn.
