Title: Used free table
Post by: Mandoon on March 23, 2019, 08:18:03 PM
I received a used storm ll a couple weeks ago...it has been neglected and forgotten in a storage unit for several years... after several hours of cleaning and silicone, and some new balls it plays like new, with the exception of the playing surface. It has lost adhesion to the wood below, around both goals out to the 3 man. Is there an easy fix to this, with out tearing this bitch apart? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Would you believe... a HOT IRON?
Remove the rod for better access to the playfield... ironing the playfield can get that adhesive/glue beneath laminate to warm up and re-adhere it to the MDF base!    Iron it.. and place a heavy weight on it while it cools!    Share your results!

Wow Jim, I have never heard that one, but I guess it makes sense. Sounds like this might be a good test case.

Interesting - to hot = melting
What temperate is safe?

Perhaps a wet towel and steam on the iron ?
