Title: Replacing Rods ON Garlando Tables
Post by: anthony@cartierinfo.com on November 03, 2019, 08:58:09 PM
Hi Guys,

I'm looking into buying a Foosball table. I used play quite a bit and my son as taken an interest in the game..
i wanted to get a Master Champion table, since i prefer to play (or teach him) on the most official table i can get.
(I'm in Montreal QC, and over here, all the tables are 1 Goalie Euro - mostly Garlando)

but The rods are not telescopic and my youngest one is just the right high to loose an eye to a rod...

I an wondering, can rods be replaced with telescopic? (and then change them back when she is an extra 18 inchs tall :)

Anything can be done with money but it's almost certainly going to impact play for the worse. You are better off buying a table w/ telescopic rods or getting rod guards that work on the specific table. I have kids of similar height and I use these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Foosball-Rod-Guard-Kit-Tornado-Table-Style-Foosball-Pro-Design-/262794438762

I have those rod guards on my Tornado T2000 and the 2 bar guard it not quite long enough. The rod sticks out the end about 0.75 inches when at dead rod and they have open ends for little ones to stick their fingers in. They are better than nothing but these are long enough and have caps on the ends https://protecto-flex.com/
