Title: Unusual T2000 Coin Op Coloring?
Post by: Prince16 on September 09, 2022, 06:47:56 PM
Hi all,

I was hoping to get some help identifying exactly what kind of coin op table I have. After reading through both these posts I know it is a T2000:

However, Neither post makes any mention of a Blue T2000 Coin op. It has blue, not black, men and more faded yellow men. Is this a sign of an old table? Or is it some sort of special edition? It also has the number "207768" stamped on the top part inside the split cabinet. Any info anyone has on it would be great as I'm quite curious about it. Also happy to upload any extra pictures of the table if needed to help identify it or even just its year

So, for anyone interested or that stumbles across this post, I used a different search engine while looking for something about this table and found this forum thread: https://www.foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=3929.0

If you don't wanna go to the link it is a 2011 post where someone else asked about a blue marble tornado they saw for sale. The important thing was this comment I found:

"Tornado did have a very short run of special tables for Nationals(?) somewhere in the mid-90s(?) that used a blue marble laminate. Otherwise the table was standard Tornado coin-op. They also had blue and white men. Someone else would have to verify the info but I've played on such a table so they do indeed exist." - TSR_Brad

My table did indeed have the blue and white men on it (I'm swapping them to the newer style men) so I believe this is it. Please, if anyone has additional information about it let me know. I'm extremely curious what the tournament this was made for was and if it's possible to know any more info about it.

Cool find, I've actually never seen a picture of one of those.
