Title: Tornado classic used - is this a good buy?
Post by: Mike S on December 03, 2022, 11:35:21 AM
Hello, I am looking at purchasing a used Tornado classic table. this is from a second buyer (they bought tow years ago). there is some small damage I can see but it looks like i can buy a replacement down corner and cap for ~25 and 15 dollars respectively. By the pictures everything else looks like it is in good condition. Asking price is 700 however they are willing to come down due to damage 9was going to try and get for 500-550. damage is on the top corner (am not able to insert a picture however, unless someone can tell me how).

questions:

What is a good price for this table used?
What else should I be looking for (Deadspots - can you define that please)? etc.?
Legs will need to be disassembled to move it, so are there any issues there?

I am not an expert at this, just want good and durable for the kids to play at home (3 kids + friends coming over).

700 is too high. 350-450 would be more reasonable if in good shape. It's not a split bearing table so it's a job to remove the rods, clean bearings, and replace broken guys.
