Title: Newly acquired table require some help please

Hi people,

I’ve recently got hold of an old pub foosball table I’m hoping to bring back to life for my three children to have hours of fun on. All was going well till they had their first game and all balls disappeared and didn’t come back outside. I’ve figured there was probably something wrong with trays/ mechanism underneath… so went about trying to fix issue. However there is no key… So I have drilled the lock and removed the whole lock but still can’t lift the table lid? Any help would be greatly appreciated I don’t want to keep trying to take it apart and damaging it further..

You will need to provide more information on table...pictures would  be best.
