Title: Which way round do the poles go?

Hello there!

I wonder if anyone can help me? Ive been playing foosball at my workplace for a while now and they have the poles in a position where you will be shooting to the left of you and turn the poles in a clockwise direction, Is this the correct way because I've played on a friends table and he has it the other way round (shoot to the right and turning poles anti clockwise) this is very frustrating as I play terrible when I play on his table and I want to know which is the correct setup?

In the proper setup, you shoot to the right, your goalie is to your left.
