How about Stonewall, the Great Wall, Hoover(as in Dam), Acme(as in brick), ZipLoc, Pocket protector, CFB(closed for business), The Ball Return, Lockdown, Lockup, Detention, DOA, BOA( I like this one, pronounced just like the snake, stands for BLOCK ON ARRIVAL), I can go on all day, lol.
Seriously, learning to play goalie might be the best thing for your forward game. Learn how to play defense and you just might learn how to read one because then you will realize what strategies that particular goalie is employing on you and you will be able to make adjustments accordingly.
Also, not to be harsh, but you need a change of attitude. Is there a reason you feel you should be drilling a particular person? Did you ever think that these people have maybe scouted you and made adjustments for your shot and you have not made re-adjustments? Overconfidence breeds arrogance and mis -execution. As a forward, never approach a match thinking this guy is not that good I should be able to drill him. Same as a goalie thinking this guy is easy, I always block him. You need to approach a match with the intention of establishing your plan for winning no matter who is on the other side. In other words, YOU need to DICTATE. Sounds to me like those goalies are dictating to you what they want you shoot which in turn produces blocked shots.
As a goalie, I dictate to the opposing forward what he will shoot, not what he wants to shoot. If he is successful, I make changes accordingly.
Here's an example, I shoot the rollover up front. At least once every five shots, I will shoot a straight even if it is not there. Why? I am dictating to the opposing goalie that he better cover straight at all times which will in turn open up the corners just a little bit more. I want that goalie to think "Wow, I wasn't showing that hole, what is he thinking? Is he trying to time me, is he pot shooting, is he even looking at my D, what is he doing?"
See how quickly the game can turn mental. You need to work on learning how to flip the mental coin in the other direction. Remember, this game is 20% physical, the rest is mental.
Not saying it will work, but try this. When I shot a pull, I would open up with this series sometimes.
First, set your pull and sit as long as time will allow. Now shoot long.
Next, same set, sit for 3 seconds, shoot long.
Now, same set, 3 seconds, shoot a slow slider or spray from the big dot.
Again, same set, 6 seconds, another slider.
Do this regardless of what defense you see and regardless of your scoring or not. What you are doing is dictating where the goalie will have to block you and put some doubt in his mind on what he is showing you.
Now the big shot. Guess what hole now is wide open? Because of your dictation of holes to block, you have now set the trap for a straight.
Now, 5th shot, same set, dead still, 3 seconds, lift up high, pop the straight.
Even if you are not successful, you are dictating where you shoot, not where he wants you to shoot.
Now is when the chess game begins. So don't bail out on forward just yet. Buck up little soldier, the game has just begun.
