Topic: The 30th was GREAT - stay tuned for next foos meet up...

Last Wednesday was absolutely a renaissance - a rebirth of organized,
tournament-play foosball in Pittsburgh.  If you missed it, don't
worry - we'll be there again in 3 weeks!  Stay tuned for the exact
date.

Some very positive notes from the 30th:

1. There ARE some very good players hiding in Pittsburgh!  I saw
excellent stick, tic-tac, and brush passing, along with a lot of
skilled shots (pull, push, pull-kick, push-kick, front-pin, back-pin,
and snake shots).

2. Everyone is very nice!  There were no egos, just friendly people
looking to play, learn, be challenged, and have fun.

3. Brewski's management is 100% supportive of bringing foosball
tournaments back to Brewski's.  By the next meet up, new men and
bearings will be in place to bring the table back up to tournament-
ready status.

4. There were 8 players there and more to come next time.  Many of the players knew of others that also play and are very motivated to bring them down for the next one.  E-mail addresses have been gathered to make sure this keeps progressing.

With good communication, there is no reason why can't all have our foos and eat it too!

hi i know that brewskis is having another tournament this coming wednesday but i have class that night.. Is there a set date for when they will have another tournament there again?  And also is there any other place in Pittsburgh that is hosting tournaments... Im trying to get out and see how good i really am.... ive been beating all my friends for the past 3 years.

Foosball is back in the Burgh.  Aside from the tourney's that are being help more frequently at Brewski's, it's becoming more and more likely that you'll run into at least a handful of players on any given Wednesday night.  The foosball_pa yahoogroup is seeing good action these days as well.
