Need help with table dimensions
« on: August 16, 2008, 08:13:48 PM »
Hey I got a free table off craigslist, its a sport craft from about 6 years ago. Kinda crappy but the cabinet is really heavy, the bearings are smooth, and the bar's are about as heavy as a tornado. It comes down to replacing the men with tornado figures and raising the playing surface to however high tornado's are. How much distance is there from the bottom of the man to the surface, on this table it is WAY too far, i think whoever put it together first did it wrong.

actually i have lots of questions about dimensions so I can see if I can get tornado men onto these bars, or if I should think about getting all new bearings, rods, men, maybe even surface? if i can do it for like 300 it would be worth it to me.

alright I went to work on this beast and raised the playing surface 3/8 of an inch, it now is a quarter inch below the bottom of each man and that seems to be perfect. I'm not sure why it was built the way it was before, but now it is much better, can shoot pulls, snakes, and good passing series. I bet this is the best free table ever. only a few things seperating a tornado from this beast now. well lots really but it will do the trick until I buy a tornado.

Nice man, I ran into some van rental complications, so I didn't go pick up my table the other day. I was very sad about this. I'm going to try again on Tuesday to go get the table though. Hopefully I can get it.

Pick it up man, it is worth it, I have read all the other posts. If i was in your shoes I would carry it on my back for 30 hours to get it. find a way.
