Topic: Tornado->Bonzini handle conversion

Yep, I want to put some Tornado handles on a Bonzini table.

I have some metal inserts that fit the Bonzini rod very well. They have a hexagonal outside surface.
I have some new Tornado handles (thanks foosball.com).

Question is how to install the inserts into the handles and get one adhered to the other.

Doing some measurements, it looks like the insert can fit in the fat part of the handle, so perhaps drilling it from the rear end of the handle would be preferable. The hexagonal outside surface of the insert has me scuppered though in terms of getting a good bond with the handle. I've had a couple of ideas :-

- use a lathe to make the insert Outside surface round
- use lots of chopped up fiberglass and epoxy resin.

Anyone done this before on this board? I know a few folks have. I'd like to find out more about how people have got this to work.
