Yeah that sucked! Spree looked like jet lag was getting to him too. He should have ate that guy alive.

I'd have to conclude the inability to stop the slop, which becomes more and more second nature as you continue playing on a table, really becomes a major factor.  No Billy, Todd or Terry to warn him about the TecBall's sloppability, either, or any other MT ITSF table's own unique characteristics.  Especially on the brandnew TecBall made for ITSF by Lehmacher in direct opposition to its own P4P.  I'd bet Yannick won't even be there next time anyway, so Spredey's lost that chance forever, probably.  And no money to allay the loss, even.

I had a pretty good seat for this game and the big screen there made it easy to see it. I think these games should have been best of 5 and race to 7 on the deciding game. It is too easy to just get 1 ball on your oppositions table and then score 4 times on your own table. Spree looked in total control of this game but didn't win, and really I think 9 times out of 10 tony would have beaten him.

When I talked to Tony after the game he did say that Yannick was a great player and was playing great. That might have just been tony being a good sportsman though.

From as much as I could see from the chopped up live streaming it seemed that Tony was, as usual, heads above most all the field, including Yannik. But  I guess karma caught up with him as that unbelievable game with Ryan Moore ended on a slop shot. Yannik has the title and Tony has motivation for next time. I agree, Will, that Tony beats him 9 out of 10 times but like a 10 percent chance of rain, it can ten percent all over you.
