Watch the stance, the grip, are they shooting to score, are they shooting at the open hole, against this style of d, what do you do and what are the tendencies of certain situations.
Watch EVERYTHING. Break everything down to it's most simple component and you will accelerate your learning curve. And don't be afraid to ask questions. A lot of the top pros are accessible if you just ask.
