What did everyone think of the foos on tv? I thought it was kind of neat. Hope it promotes the sport.

I wonder if Versus allows free digital download of several, or many if not all, previous canned programming, like Fox and ABC and the others do for several shows.

What the heck, lemme check on their site anyway.... tell ya if its available.  I asked because noone volunteered a link to the download/s yet.

I'm with 'Killah, things happened that I didn't get to see it and really want to.

great first effort, glad it was on, very cheesy in many ways but it was good to see...lot of muscles being shown off starting with Phil S.'s ... Phil is obviously into body building

with Phil, Cobra, Diza and others, I thought this was a "gun" show and not a foosball tournament

I really didn't mind, it was good for the fooser image I guess

anyway, it would be good to have some explanation of the game and to understand some of the tension between teams in matches and not limit it to 1/2 hour

i am greatful to get a 1/2 hour but that is not the way to promote the game long term in my opinion but i have no say since i am not the one leading the charge

I group of us watched this on Friday...we were all glad it was on and thought it was a good first shot

things to change
*  Phil's comments were super cheesy and made us cringe - embaracing really
*  I do not like the color pallet being used
*  Need more REAL explanation for what is happeing and slower slow motion and traces if needed
*  don't jump around so much from team to team...I understand why this was done but not good for the product..better to break it out so you can show quick clips like they were as summaries to how they reached the semi-finals..
*  needs play by play (Jim Stevens) and color commentary explaing the detail in the game
*  I like the challenge idea, don't like single elimination if it is only 2/3
*  Do not like the trash talk element built up like it is because I am concerned long term it will create more of that as the standard in the game and that would get ugly and bad spirited

I really hope Versus sticks with it for a while to give it a chance to change and grow

great job Phil and those helping, unbelievable accomplishment, CONGRATULATIONS and thanks

can't wait to get the 2 hour version on DVD

Thanks guys for putting this together!
My only comment is that it would be nice to have the players talk about what they are feeling or what shot they will be trying and then go see what happens...very big part of what makes the poker shows so cool and of course you see it in all the reality shows.  It works or they wouldn't do it.  It woiuld have to be taped afterwards of course or at least I think that is what they do.
For example
"I called a timeout at 4 to 4 what I wanted to do was make them think about it and I was going to wait out the defense and then go long as this has worked against...."
Jim Stevens then comes on and explains that the player will be trying to pull the ball all the way towards him hitting it in the near side of the goal.

So where were the foosball commercials for this event?  Did it just cost to much?  I though I would of seen commercials for
Inside foos
foosball.com
Master wraps
Warrior foosball
or maybe a foosball event

I thought it was a great day for foos, I think the promoted the caricatures a little more than the game itself but I like all.
