Topic: Just getting serious about foosball, some questions

I've had a foosball table for years but just recently has my roommate and I gotten really into it. Most of my questions are about my table. It's a Harvard, not sure on the model. The playing surface is black and glossay, something i've notice alot of other table arnt. Its so glossay, smooth and slippery, most table are textured some are they not? The next is the players themselves. They seem to be an average foosball man, the front and back of the "feet" are angle with dimples, but on one side there is alittle lip along the bottom edge. My question is what side should the lip go? The front edge (attacking edge, towards opponents net) or on the backside? Also the ball look like mini soccerballs with the hexagon pattern cut in, not the reddish pinky balls I see.

Have you tried checking on line to see which Harvard foosball table, Galaxy, or Black Deca, or Mid-Fielder, etc etal, is closest to your table so you can see how the men are put on.  A lot of the foos distributors and portals/aggregators like eBay, NexTag, Amazon, etc. show a closeup of the tables, where you can see which way the men are put on, as well as see if your table is one of the ones available in used condition, if no longer a current model.

Takes about 2 clicks or less on Google or Bing or Yahoo!Search.... ain't too hard there...  unless you have only dial-up with really slow pic downloads ... then maybe bbt and others can match your table.
