Glad to hear that you are taking player concerns into considerations.

Regarding the ball running into the goal - shots which hit the sides of the goal (i.e. not 'posting', but hitting flat against the wall) - I've seen them go in SO many times with no way of stopping them.  I think the main problem here is the space between the goalie and the back wall - it is possible for the ball to run against the back wall so that there is no way for the goalie to touch the ball, even if he is angled back correctly.  if you move the goalie back 1 or 2 cm this should alleviate this problem - even though the goalie won't be able to spin around then anymore (as is the case on garlando's).

The rods - it's not the smoothness that is the problem, they are smooth enough, but they have so much momentum behind them. Try to wiggle them back and forth quickly and you'll see what I mean.  I find it strange that higher level players have not mentioned it, but I think it's more apparent for our Stellenbosch style of play which is more speed and nuance based compared to higher level set-shot style of play. But, I understand that this is a major cost/durability factor so I can see why they are the way they are now.

Two more things - the 2-bar's men are too far apart - but you said you are already reconsidering man placement.

The shape of the man's foot - the bottom of the foot is slightly convex. this means that for any kind of pinning you have a point rather than a line to which you need to be accurate. I think the current balls compound this issue so it is hard to judge what the effect of the foot is rather than the effect of the ball.  Also, a rounded bottom is much better than the current angular design - such as http://www.foosballstore.com/images/Yellow_2-pc_Man.jpg - i think a lot of that may come down to personal preference but the convex square design allows for the least amount of variation.

Again - I feel like I am only bringing up negative aspects, it's not my intention to deride, I'm just trying to give some constructive criticism.

Why don't you make discounted, branded pro tables available for purchase to venues?
