I don't think so,
I have CTS (both hands) and mine is most likely a congenital predispostion versus the repetative motion disorder that many claim. I have worked with my hands doing strenuous repetative tasks for long periods and I think this is what aggrivates the condition. I have passed on the surgery option to correct it because it doesn't cause me that much grief (and I don't need anymore scars). There have been a lot of time when I used to smoke, that I would drop a cigarette and not ever know it until I went to take my next drag. I have dropped a few drinks before because of it but I have since changed the way I hold a glass to prevent it.

As for foosball, I can not snap my wrist like most players can, simply because I loose my grip during the downward thrust. I have to resort to rollovers and openhanded push and pull  shots to score.

Well i just noticed after practising my snake shot for a while my wrist was aching. So i tried a few other ways to hold the handle. I place my open palm on the side of the handle at about the 3'o clock position then i tried the fleshy part of my palm on the 2'o clock position.

I hold the bar with my wrist (almost where you would take your pulse) at the 6 oclock position. Does your wrist hurt from the scraping of the handle on it? Mine use to hurt because I was pushing way to hard against the rod when I was trying to do the shot. I have found you really don't have to press very hard with your wrist to move the ball, and still have good control of it.. Since I figured that out I haven't had a single brush burn, or wrist pain.
