Few ?'s from new guy
« on: February 04, 2007, 12:32:43 AM »
So im new to the forums, and i really signed up because i have two questions. My first question is, how many of you out there can acually lift the ball up and do airial shots. i've seen movies on youtube of a few people doing this. Kinda got me depressed because of course i went and tried and couldnt do it. Is that just a few people with way to much time on their hands or can most of you guys do that.

also, i have a pretty nice table, i love it to death and have never seen a better one untill recently... its a Carrom Foosball: Graphite Spektrum Premium. heres a link to it http://www.tablefootball.com/Carrom_Foosball.htm its the fourth one down, black. the only problem is that i recently went away for a week, were they had a tornado table. the table was pretty much identical to mine in specs and performance. but i could play soooo much better with the torandow guys. i've been looking around and i've found out that tornado has this marketing thing going on so only their guys fit their size rods? so does anyone know of any after market guys that are like the tornadow guys for a 5/8th rod? any info or help will be GREATLY appreaciated. sry if i sound like a complete idiot maybe the answers r right infront of my face and i dont know.

Tornado guys will fit on other tables.  See this thread which is on page one of General Chat right now.  http://www.foosball.com/forum/index.php?topic=849.0

ok thanks for the help with the guys. I was wondering if anyone was interested in buying 30 next to new carrom men? 15 black 15 yellow? if i can find someone to buy them it would help with the amount i will have to spend for new guys. Im not quite sure if im going to get new ones, since its my parrents table. but if i have a buyer so its only 50$ instead of 120$ it would b a lot easier to convince them.

about 2 months ago i seen a clip on a guy doing an airial and like you say i had 2 much time on my hands it took me all weekend but by sunday night i had figured it out i would say about 4 hours to get
it. what worked for me was not what the guy on the video did he had his front man tilted ahead and brought it back with the ball comeing at it and his back man he slaped it with his man back i had better luck with my back man about straight up and down before i wacked to the front man to bonce it up to catch. in the video he would drop it then catch it that was easy the hard part was to roll it into the pocket ahead of and behind the front mans foot, theres other ways to shoot
an airial once you pick it up but that was how he did it. it is a good fun trick shot but i would'nt get to depressed as i think it is easy to block and with the new rules this year it is illegal to shoot
