playfield de-laminating
« on: February 10, 2007, 09:40:49 PM »
Hi guys,
I got a used cherry tornado coin-op this year and lately the veneer has been de-laminating. Now, the playfield veneer is coming up around the black side goal. I tried to superglue the edge down but I am looking to find a better fix. It's going to be a while before I can buy a replacment deck, do any of you know of a fix for this? The place I have it in is a real dry environment, less than 10% humidity in the winter months. I suppose that might be doing it?

This is a better question for your local hardware store perhaps than us foos geeks.
Hit up the experts at your Home Depot or Lowes for a good "kitchen counter" laminate adhesive... and some tips in "cleaning" the old adhesive out of the flap.

Share with the rest of us if you dig up some good tips or specific adhesives that work for ya!   JimW
