Topic: Goalie War Rules & "Distraction" Interpretation...

I have played in a bunch of tourney\'s and normally have no problems. I have had 2 issues come up that I would like your opinion on.

1.I was told (in the finals!) of a goalie war that my basic front pin shot was illegal...the shot I was eating people all day with. Tried to switch to another shot but wound up losing.

2. I had a respected opponent insist that the way I perform my snake is a distraction. I have used this against some of the best players in the world and they never said this.

I stand flat footed. I used my elbow to \"crack the whip\" and to move the ball...so basically my elbow rocks back and forth. any opinion, am I wrong. These don\'t seem to come up until someone is gettin beat bad.

for one i consult a Ref. first before i would use another shot i normally take care of questionable rules with a Ref. before continuing play....

I don't see how a front pin in GWs could be illegal unless you stopped the ball for longer than 3 seconds.  As far as the distraction goes, I think calling a distraction on anyone is pretty desperate unless they're jumping up and down or climbing on the table or something.  If they're that distracted by something outside of the playing surface, then they deserve to lose.  Focus.
