this board has quite a range of players and everyone is welcome, glad you jumped on
foosball is a game that is big enough for casual player up to serious tournament players
to me the important thing is that you enjoy playing at every level and if you enjoy it, regardless of table or how far your game has developed, it doesn't matter
i used to be into high end audio (I have owned at least 4 sets of speakers that retail between $8500 and $11500. High end people think Bose equipment is terrible but it is a big name (revenue wise) in hi-fi...personally I agreed with the assesment of the equipment but I never took that approach with friends and family
if someone was excited about their state of the art Bose system then I was always happy for them because the important thing was enjoying the music (or sound for your video). Some audiophiles come off snobish and that hurts the hobby
I knew people with real expensive gear but they were never satisfied because they got caught up in the second level of the hobby which was equipment build and design quality and they forgot their first love - Music...I ran into the same issue during my experience
foosball, the fun of playing is our first love and it shouldn't matter what table...better equipment can enhance the experience but in the end, it needs to be the love of the game that keeps us playing, if that dies, we should try and recapture it or get out
so, I hope we aren't foosball snobs and I, on behalf of the regular posters here, wish you fun and favor in the foos days ahead - never hesitate to come back and ask questions if you have them...we aren't always fast but we will always try and answer
foos on
