Building a table - Gamesforfun Hollow Rods?

Hi,
I am in the midst of trying to build my first table. However, I'm trying to be a bit budget conscious since this will be my first attempt.
The best price I've seen thus far is a set of 8 solid rods for $90 + $20 S&H. However, I wanted to try to get a set of hollow rods and I see that on this page
http://www.gamesforfun.com/cgi-bin/gt/tpl.h,content=115&
They can be had at $22.99/rod. Does anyone have any experience with buying from this company or these specific rods?
I'm following the plans found here
http://www.foosball.com/tablebuildingguide.html
http://stealthboy.dyndns.org/~msherman/foosball_build.html
So I'm figuring these rods will save me a fair amount, and then adding this kit:
http://foosdirect-store.stores.yahoo.net/parts-kit-diy.html
And then the only thing left will be the lumber.
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
