New Fooser--St. Louis

Hey guys,
I'm brand new to the forum and the game as well.  I bought a tornado table back in October and have been playing since.  We started up a club at my school, and we play every Tuesday at the Stratford Inn after school.  I hope some of the veterans might appreciate that more and more younger players are getting into the sport, and I was contemplating coming out to one of the tournaments at the Stratford.  I've played against a couple bar foosers that have approached me, and for the most part, I usually hold my own.  What's the best way to get into the Missouri Foosball community?
Also, I'm working on learning the snake shot.  I think I've got a pretty good handle on the pull, but my push is pretty much non-existant (it seems like my arm motion is kind of sketchy and I have trouble pushing the ball fast/hard enough.)  Any tips? (I realize I'm not giving much info and you can't exactly see what I'm doing)

New fooser,

If you play at Stratford Inn on Tuesday nights you are at the right place, however on the wrong nights.  Here is the schedule.  Every Wednesday night Singles at 7pm then a draw at 9pm.  Friday night we have a bring your parnter starting at 9pm.

Sundays are now right next door at Hot Shots for a draw your partner starts at 7pm.

Hey ds, can I assume you are in the South County area since you already know where Stratford is? If not, and you can hit the St Charles County area we'd be happy to have you at our pub in OFallon MO on a Friday nite for pickup games, we play non-stop from 6pm till 1 am and we usually will switch the teams around to give everyone a shot at the best partners at some time during the nite. Playoffs Bar & Grill, take 40/61 west to the Hwy K exit, go north 3 miles to one block north of the Hwy N intersection, it's in Crossroads Plaza on the right.
If you do hookup with Neil and the gang there in Fenton, be sure and have your listening cap on because you will be able to learn a lot in a short time. Especially try to meet Larry Blake, he's a good guy with a lot of heart and my favorite partner when I show up to play.
