Singles 3/5 winners and 2/3 loosers

5.00 Rookies, 10.00 Semi, 15.00 Pro, and 20.00 for Pro Masters
Singles begin at 11:30 am,this will not be seeded Doors open at 10:00 am

DYP 3/5 winners and 2/3 loosers

10.00 per entry
DYP begins at 3:00 pm and sign up must be DONE by 2:30 pm

The bar is adding $500.00 to the DYP

There is all the different kinds of liquor and beer that you can want, and there is a restruant next door that is in partnership for this tournament.

There will be a $2.00 door entry fee for every one over the age of 21 and $5.00 door entry fee for ages 18-20 who is planing on coming .

we will have 8 tables to play on which 6 will be for tournament play and 2 for warm up

money will be paid out as follows

1-10 teams will pay 1st-3rd
11-16teams will pay 1st-4th
17-25teams will pay 1st-5th
25-35teams will pay 1st-6th
35-45teams will pay 1st-7th
45-55teams will pay 1st-8th

how the % will be paid out will be determained the morning of the tournament

5th/6th are the same as each other and 7th/8th are the same as each other - so unless you have a playoff outside the chart, you can not tell who is 5th and who is 6th so you have to pay them both the same...this is true for 7th and 8th place as well

5/6 and 7/8 are not the same... the people who beat the 7/8 move on and if they lose next round they become 5/6.

I think what bbtuna is saying is that 5th and 6th are the same, as well as 7th and 8th are the same.
"17-25teams will pay 1st-5th

I probably should have read the first post before responding, somehow I knew i was gonna be wrong about what I posted but couldn't figure it out. I actually looked at a chart to make sure because I was so sure BBT knew what he was talking about.

okay you two, lets try and get this straight...on a dbl elim chart, you can NOT distinguish certain places...below is an IFP from late 2008 Open doubles to illustrate and this years Tornado Worlds - you can't pay 5 without paying 6 because on the chart, you can't tell which is which...thus, payout is 5/6...same is true with 7th and 8th or 9th-12th or 13-16 and so on

Ya i know how the bracket works too. You said "5/6 and 7/8 are the same" not that 5/6 are the same and 7/8 are the same. I was pointing out that 5/6 and 7/8 can have seperate payouts because I thought you were saying there was no way to differentiate between 5th through 8th.

Note that it would not be hard to just have the two guys play agianst eachother that finished 5/6 or 7/8 and it would determine how they place.
